Although Jerry Springer may have coined the word re-gift many years ago as the act of taking an unwanted gift and giving it to someone else Matt and Joanna (or Mattie and JoJo to their close friends) has given the word new meaning. As defined above ten percent of all retail purchases and remodeling gives back to single moms. After each completion of a job or purchase from the retail store, the funds are placed into an account which helps remodel single mom’s homes. The ten percent is later used to help purchase supplies for these projects, while Matt and Joanna donate their time to make the most out of the improvements. This cannot be accomplished without your help however. By you finding joy in your new jewerly or remodeling project you help another do the same.

 

Why single moms? This is definitely something that hits home for the Johnsen family household. As a single mom of two for over twelve years, Joanna knows the many struggles that they have to endure. By helping with home improvements it allows for single moms to focus their attention on the many other things that they have to take on. Or even for many who cannot afford such a project that seems like a want to become a reality.
